There are many dog trainers in the Ottawa and Outaouais regions, then there’s Katherine Jalbert of Kinergy Canine.  I cannot speak more highly of Katherine. I have an English Golden Retriever and I hired Katherine when my puppy was about 13 weeks old.  I was dealing with a lot of behavioral issues; my puppy is very dominant and controlling and constantly wanting to be the leader, testing me at every opportunity to the point of almost giving up.

I hired Katherine for a 6-week in-house puppy training in the hopes that I could gain the confidence and the knowledge to turn him from a dominant dog to a focused and fun-loving companion.  Prior to hiring Katherine, I did a lot of research on the web for solutions to his behaviors but having little to no success with the recommendations found so I was little hesitant that Katherine would be successful. 

Through Katherine’s intuitive approach to understanding and training dogs, I saw improvements after the first lesson.  Every week, Katherine shows up prepared for the lesson ahead, yet she is always able to modify and adapt her lessons to accommodate any issues that arose since the last training with ease.  From basic puppy training to advanced training, Katherine has the solution for you.  She will guide, educate and provide you with the tools required to be successful when she leaves. 

After the end of the six weeks training classes, I was in awe of how much my puppy had changed for the better.  I also need to mention how wonderful Katherine is to respond to questions outside of the training time.  You will get a prompt response and all of her recommendations are well researched and applicable to the needs of your dog.
